Delicious Signs has painted murals in pub dining rooms, office breakout spaces, school corridors, residential hallways, café interiors, and on the sides of buildings facing the street. Every project is different, and that's what makes it interesting.
The scale of the work can range from a single feature wall in a domestic kitchen to a multi-storey exterior that stops people on the pavement. The subject matter can be almost anything — a local landscape, a brand illustration, an abstract pattern, a typographic piece, a botanical scene, a bit of East London history. If it can be imagined, it can be painted.
The process starts with a proper conversation about what you want the mural to do. Who will see it? What feeling should it give them? What's the existing aesthetic of the space, and should the mural complement it or contrast with it? From there comes a design — usually presented as a scaled digital sketch — refined until it's exactly right, then transferred and painted by hand on-site.
Exterior murals are finished with UV-stable, weather-resistant topcoats that protect the work from fading, damp, and general London grime. Interior murals are sealed or varnished depending on the environment and the level of traffic they'll receive.
There's no requirement to know exactly what you want before getting in touch. Some clients arrive with a precise brief and a Pinterest board; others arrive with a feeling and a wall. Both are fine starting points — working out the design is part of the service.
